After every game, the pundits from the Huskie Outsider take a look at a young player who made a good impression.
Dallas: Although he only had three carries, Devin Logan looked good when he was in the game. I expect we will see more from him as the season goes on.
Dog Whisperer: Without a doubt Travoy Martinez. He is a natural boundary corner and has made a rather fast adjustment to the Canadian game. With more reps, learning and discipline he will be able to be the “shut down” corner that all teams covet. In addition he is a hard hitting tackler and shows tremendous promise in the return game.
Ryan: The Huskies got a lot of younger guys some playing time on Friday. I think that Travoy Martinez was the young gun who stole the show. We’ve talked about him all weekend: five tackles, two interceptions, three hard hits and a nice kick-off return. He still needs to learn some schemes, but he looks to have a brilliant future in the CIS.
