Huskies open season with a loss

The Saskatchewan Huskies lost to the Guelph Gryphons tonight by a score of 26-21. It was a tight contest, where the Huskies played a lot of young players.

The first team offense was very good tonight, and managed several long drives, but failed to but points on the board, settling for a Drew Burko touchdown pass to Kit Hillis, a 42 yard field goal by Cole Samson and two missed field goals in the first half.

The first team defense was in top form, with the Huskies leading 15-14 at halftime.

We will have a full game report later tonight, as well as comments from the players and coaches all weekend.
