Deion Bain is a receiver from W.J. Mouat High School, in Abbottsford B.C. Deion’s high school team were provincial runners up in 2011, and he was a member of Team B.C.
Deion committed to the UofS shortly after his visit to campus in January. “The facilities are amazing, and I know about the great fan support here. I’ll be entering the College of Arts and Science for my first year.”
Deion was asked for his reaction to spring camp. “It’s far more difficult than high school football. Everything went pretty well…I loved it.” Deion provided Huskie Outsider with a quick assessment of his strengths as a football player, and where he looks to improve. “I really want to start working on my speed and route running, but I thought that I showed pretty good hands in camp.”
Prior to camp, receivers coach, Jason Sulz, spoke with Huskie Outsider about Deion: “He’s one of the top receivers in B.C. He’s a good route runner and catches the ball very well. What he lacks in height he makes up for in toughness and ability to find the football.”
