Three Huskies to play in 2012 East-West Bowl

Defensive end Joel Seutter, defensive halfback/kick returner Luke Thiel and halfback/linebacker Seamus Neary will be representing the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at the 2012 East-West Bowl.

The 2012 CIS East-West Bowl will be played on May 12 at TD Waterhouse Stadium on the campus of The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. This will be the tenth edition of the East-West Bowl, which features the top players from across the country who are entering their draft years.

Western is hosting the game for the fourth straight year. The game was previously held in Hamilton at McMaster University (2008), in Quebec City at Université Laval (2007, 2006) and in Waterloo at Wilfrid Laurier University (2005, 2004, 2003).

Ben Heenan, Bryce McCall and Keenan MacDougall represented the Huskies at last year’s game, which the East won 34-27 in overtime. The West team, which was coached in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 by Huskies’ Head Coach Brian Towriss, has won six of the nine games played.
