Big challenge ahead for Huskie defence

Despite the 3 point victory that the Huskies earned over UBC in the regular season, the defence wasn’t entirely pleased with their performance on that night. While the unit is generally regarded as the strength of the Huskies, they allowed 501 yards to the TBirds. The defence is looking forward to facing UBC, and they’re expecting to face another tough challenge. “They’re a great team,” commented Huskie linebacker, Peter Thiel. “They’ve got lots of talent, and it begins with Billy Greene who is an outstanding quarterback.” Thiel went on to describe what makes Greene so dangerous: “He’s a big guy, he’s mobile, and he throws a great, well-timed ball. That’s what we’ve been prepping for all week. We’ll have to play at the top of our game.”

Peter went on to discuss the play of the defence in these teams’ first meeting. “They were able to exploit some weaknesses in our defence that they found. That’s one of the things we’ve focused on this week in practice – look at what they did to hurt us and fix that.”
