After every game, we give a game ball to an unsung hero. These are players that you may not hear too much on the PA system, had should be recognized.
Dallas: My Unsung Hero for this game is Dexter Janke. He was a key part of the drive that led to the Ben Coakwell touchdown in the second quarter, throwing blocks on the plays that allowed Jahlani Gilbert-Knorren and Rory Kohlert get first downs to extend the drive. He also had two tough first down runs in the fourth quarter, keeping the ball out of Alberta’s hands and gaining field position. He was an important part of this win.
Ryan: Although he only had one reception for four yards, my Unsung Hero is running back Alex Balogun. Balogun is a reservist and often heads from practice to his duties as a reservist, carrying his army boots with him. The Support the Troops game was played to hounour or active military and reservists, so it goes without saying that Alex should be mentioned here.
Tom: My Unsung Heros are all members of the Canadian armed forces for all that they do to keep our nation safe. Friday was their night.
