Monday we looked at the CanadaWest team statistics and how the Huskies fared. Today, we will look at where some of the Huskies finished the Canada West season individually.
Quarterback Laurence Nixon led the league in passing efficiency with a CIS rating of 160.7. Second to him was the Regina Rams Marc Mueller with a 152.1 rating. Nixon trailed Mueller by 1.6 yards per game in passing as Nixon averaged 303 yards per game in the air. Mueller played more downs than Nixon as the Huskies tend to remove their starters when they build up a lead. Nixon had two 400 yard passing games.

Ben Coakwell was fourth in the conference rushing with 669 yards on 103 carries or an 83.6 yards per game average. Coakwell had thee 100 yard rushing games.
Receiver Rory Kohlert had 37 receptions which was good for third spot in CanadaWest at an average of 4.6 receptions per game. Jade Etienne was fifth in the conference with 4.0 receptions per game and Braeden George was seventh with 3.7 receptions per game.
Looking at receiving yards, Jade Etienne was the class of the conference. He had 721 yards, good for a 103 yards per game average. Regina’s Brendan Owens was second with 85.1 yards per game. Rory Kohlert average 57 yards per game, good for eight in Canada West. Etienne had four 100 yard receiving games.
On the scoring front, Huskies kicker Stephen MacDonald had 72 points which worked out to a 12 point per game average. The Dinos Aaron Ifield had 78 points and a 9.8 points per game average. MacDonald played in six games while Ifield played in eight.
MacDonald was 26-26 in PATs and 14-19 in field goals.
Luke Thiel led the conference in average yards per punt return with 14.0 yards per return. Travis Gorski was sixth in the conference. Gregg Woytowich was second in terms of kick-off return average at 23.3 yards per return.
Tony Michalchuk led the Huskies in tackles with 40.5. That puts him tenth in the conference. Keenan MacDougall was 11th and Nico Higgs 13th.

Joel Seutter had 3.5 sacks, which is fifth in Canada West. Seamus Neary and Zach Hart both had two sacks which was good for 13th in the league. Hart and Seutter were first and second in tackles for losses. Hart had 9.5 and Suetter had 8.5.
Nico Higgs and Bryce McCall had four interceptions each, tying them for third in the conference. Keenan MacDougall was eighth with two INTs. Higgs also recovered three fumbles which puts him second in the conference.
