The Huskie Football Team recognizes the incredible support of the Huskies Football Fans and uses the Flag Plant as a way to thank a season ticker holder for their passion about the team. The flag plant occurs at center field during the Huskies team introductions. The players enter the field and run towards the flag. The symbolism represents the fans greeting the players.

“It was windy and the flag was heavy,” said Thiel. “It was a great experience. Being part of the intro from the field was very special to me as my nephews, Peter and Luke, didn’t know I was planting the flag. I hope it gave them a boost when they saw me there! ”

Lejbak has been a season ticket holder since 2007 and is often seen at away games. He sits in Section 11.
