Scott McHenry, who spent the past five years playing slotback for the Huskies, has signed a contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
After being drafted by the Calgary Stampeders in last year’s CFL draft, McHenry had a solid season in 2009, finishing with 23 catches for 375 yards. He also spent time playing fullback last year after the Stampeders shifted him to that position during their 2009 training camp.

Three more Huskies will be attending evaluation camps. Running back Dathan Thomas and wide receiver Rory Kohlert are attending the National Invitational Combine (NIC) today in Toronto. The NIC is being organized by Canadian Football Scouting for draft-eligible players who were not invited to the CFL Evaluation Camp. The entire list of players invited to the NIC combine is available on the Canadian Football Scouting website.
Huskies’ centre Darren Hinds will be attending the Laval Rouge et Or Combine on March 28 and 29 in Quebec City. Hinds will be entering his fifth year with the Huskies, as will Thomas, while Kohlert will be entering his fourth. Thanks to Lee for the information on Hinds.

Good luck boys! Give em hell!
Dathan Thomas put up 30 Reps at 225 lbs on the bench press and is about to run his 40-time. Darren Hinds put up 26 on the bench, 5.3 40-time and a 4.9 Shuttle time.
30 reps!!!! Holy S#&%! That is 4 more than any RB at this year’s NFL combine. If he runs a under 4.7 he will get a serious look, re-habbed knee and all.
Those are great #’s for both Thomas and Hinds! Thanks for the info Laurence.
